Krewe of Okeanos, 2008

Okeanos rolls on the 2nd Sunday of Mardi Gras with Thoth and Mid-City. This year the krewe had 9 of their floats repainted.

Photographing the floats correctly this year was a challenge. I was glad I took pictures inside the den, as photographing them at the lineup was tougher than expected due to bad sunlight angles, tree shadows and people.

Okeanos is a very old and traditional parade. Their floats are some of the smaller ones in Mardi Gras. This krewe tends to get overshadowed by Thoth and Mid-City on Sundays.
