Krewe of Carnivale en Rio, 2008 Rio's parade was January 26th, 2008. It was their 3rd parade since their inception. As mentioned on their 2007 page, The Krewe of Rio is a great bunch of people putting on one hell of a parade in Lafayette. This year they constructed 4 new floats which I was again asked to design and paint. I gladly gathered up a crew and headed to Lafayette for a few weekends to add to their fleet. The krewe now has a total of 14 krewe-owned floats. They will surely add more next year. Also, there will be one spectacular float unveiled next year which I am currently working on...
